About me

Meet Steve—Local RedHawk, Insurance Guy, and Occasional Cat Sidekick

I was born and raised just around the corner in New Carlisle, Ohio—a hometown guy through and through. I graduated from Tecumseh High School in ’81, then headed to Miami University, where I joined the RedHawk family with the Class of ’85. My State Farm adventure began in March 1986, and nearly four decades later, I’m still having a blast helping people make GREAT DECISIONS. These days, our team is happy to welcome customers at both our Dayton and Vandalia locations.

At home, my wife, Paula, and I have two amazing grown kids, a fantastic son-in-law, and one grand dog who’s pretty sure he’s the head of the family. Then there’s Matteus, our large and highly opinionated house cat. Let’s just say the rest of us live in his house.

Faith and community are close to our hearts, and the Miami Valley has been home for more than 60 years. After that long, we’ve picked up a few local stories—and maybe earned honorary “local legend” status!
